Altuzarra Spring Summer 2023 – New York Fashion Week
For the Altuzarra Spring Summer 2023 collection, Joseph Altuzarra was inspired by the desert and the mysteries and myths that surround it. Drawing inspiration from the intrepid spirit of world travelers and trekkers, the collection blends radical functionality with vibrant, electrifying prints and embellishments.
The desert, as a catalyst for ideas about possibility, freedom, and myths, is the conduit for a collection that celebrates both pragmatism and the power of imagination.
“What makes the desert beautiful,’ said the little prince, ‘is that somewhere it hides a well…’ Antoine de St. Exupery
“This season, we wanted the models to look fresh and natural, celebrating each person’s individuality and beauty. The clean, raw look is contrasted against the crispness of the collection at the beginning of the show and the vibrant, colorful Shibori prints of the collection at the end of the show.” – said Joseph Altazurra about the collection presented at the New York Fashion Week.
“We wanted to create different characters this season, and decided on an array of hair looks, from twisted, organic “mohawks” to natural waves and textured bobs, that would speak to this collection and celebration of individuality.”- continued the designer about the unique looks.
